Les nominations pour les Tony Awards 2016 qui
récompensent l’excellence théâtrale à Broadway pour la saison 2015 2016, ont été annoncées aujourd'hui par Nikki M. James et Andrew Rannells.
Les récompenses seront attribuées le 12 juin à partir de 20h, lors de la 70ème cérémonie
qui se déroulera au Radio City Music Hall. CBS retransmettra la cérémonie.
“Hamilton” arrive en tête (avec 16 nominations), suivis par “Shuffle Along, Or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed” et “She Loves Me” (avec respectivement 10
et 8 nominations).
Tout comme à Londres pour les Olivier Awards, la pièce de Florian Zeller “The Father” (Le Père) est monmée dans la catégorie meilleure pièce (traduction de Christopher Hampton) et meilleur comédien (Frank Langella).
